Wikipedia says, Chrysanthemum means "Chrysos" - Gold, "anthemon" - Flower, but our Chrysanthemum is "pinkish" in color. Chrysanthemum is known as 'Samandhi' in Tamil. Chrysanthemums have started blooming in our garden. We were expecting either white or yellow flowers, but it turned out to be a mix of maroon and white. And as days progressed the flowers have turned pinkish. The nice thing about chrysanthemums are that they easily last for ateast 2 weeks without withering. Chrysanthemums has under stem and gives rise to new offshoots and we have new saplings growing already in our garden.
